Can a Performer submit a CPD grant claim for payment?
A Performer can log into PCSE Online, create and then sign their CPD claim,
However a Contractor will need to sign and then submit the Performer's CPD grant claim.
CPD claims can only be paid to a Contractor.
Locum Optometrists who have difficulty finding a contractor willing to submit a CPD claim for them are advised to contact their local ICB to request assistance.

I've recently joined the NHS Ophthalmic list. Can I claim the grant?
To be eligible to claim the CPD allowance, you must meet the eligibility criteria outlined above, which includes the requirement to have been on the relevant ophthalmic list for at least six months in the relevant period.

I have a query about a CPD claim from a previous year.
Any queries about CPD claims from past years shouldtbe submitted using the 'Ophthalmic Payments' option on the PCSE’s ‘Contact us’ page below
Please follow these steps:
1. Select 'Ophthalmic Payments'.
2. Complete the verify me reCAPTCHA security box.
3. Choose 'Contractor/Optical practice'.
4. Select 'CET Grant Claims' from the Type of Query drop down menu.
5. Complete the fields and submit.

Performers - make your claim
Log in to PCSE Online, select 'Ophthalmic', then 'Make a Claim', then 'CPD'
Check your details shown on screen
Sign the declaration
Select 'Save awaiting Contractor signature'
Your claim will then be waiting on a contractor signatory in the practice to sign and submit
Please note: If the Performer is also a Contractor Signatory, once the claim has been saved, they will be directed to a new page which they need to read, sign the declaration and click ‘submit’ to complete.
If you are a Locum, you can make CPD claims through any contractor you have previously worked for.
The contractor will need to link your PCSE Online account to their practice then you can create your claim.
